This four-panel Japanese byobu of a Heian period court scene is an elegant classical image. If you look closely, the edging of this byobu is not the common black lacquer, but a medium-toned natural wood. By using the clear lucite screen clips, it allows your eye to see the entire piece without interruption of the mounting brackets.
