Four Panel Screen in a Mid-century Modern Dining Room

Excellent!

I love that the hangers visually almost disappear and yet feel my Asian panel is securely mounted to the wall. I did buff the hangers a little with very fine steel wool to dull them a bit and make the finish (which was very glossy) closer to the painted frame of my panels. Would definitely buy again and recommend!

The screen stands out against this gorgeous blue-green wallpaper, giving it a clean and dramatic effect.

The mixture of the traditional Chinese style painted image of birds on branches blends well with the midcentury modern furniture and lighting accents. It's a great example of combining traditional art into modern living spaces to create your own contemporary style.

It's also interesting to note that the darker wall color allows the artwork to have more presence in the space. Instead of trying to "fill-up" the wall size, this is a beautiful way of balancing the negative space with color and texture.

Shawn's idea to use very fine steel wool to soften the sheen of the screen clips in order to match the edge of his artwork worked wonderfully - well done Shawn!

Hardware Used in the Installation of this Four-Panel Japanese Folding Screen:

Since Shawn's screen had already been flattened and didn't have any folds that needed to be kept flat against the wall, he was able to use our Single Panel Screen Hanging Kit in the Wide size to give a minimalist look.
